Jennifer Lopez

Like last episode, I really expected a poor comedic performance. I thought that the show would be centered on Jennifer's ass....not that there's anything wrong with that. I guess I'd have to wait and see.

[COLD OPENING] Will Ferrell and Jennifer Lopez

This was okay, but not the greatest cold opening. Will was funny as the perverted cast member, and Tracy was hilarious as a fill-in for George W. Bush. It's always great to see Lorne on the air too, because he's so serious it's funny. Pretty decent.

RATING : 7/10

[MONOLOGUE] Jennifer Lopez

Well, not much else they could have done here. When she was speaking, I could see the green dress underneath, so I knew she'd have to show it off. Who could ever forget the Grammy Awards, what a great way to refresh our memory. The people filing Jennifer's nails and fixing her makeup while she was speaking were pretty funny.

[COMMERCIAL] Cracklin Oat Flakes

[SKETCH] Mango

The Mango sketches are always great, especially when a big celebrity is involved. I liked how Will as the director kicked his own son of the set. But, the sketch pretty much focused on Chris and Jennifer smacking each others asses. Swell...

RATING : 7/10

[SKETCH] MTV Cribs : Gemini's Twin

Well, I guess it was better than the other Gemini sketches this year. But still, nothing great. I'm finding this sketch very old already. Don't bring them back, please...

RATING : 6.5/10

[CARTOON] Ray of Light

I figured I'd have to shoot myself in the face again since they let Smigel do something again. Strangely though, I found this pretty funny. I loved how Ray Lewis kept seeing people get killed, and then he'd hop in a limo and say that he "Didn't see nothin". Better than I expected, but nothing too special.

RATING : 7.5/10

[MUSIC] Jennifer Lopez

The song was very repetitive, but she was easy to look at.

[WEEKEND UPDATE] With Tina Fey & Jimmy Fallon

Good to see that Fey and Fallon got their act back together, and the Weekend Update was back to it's usual, hilarious self. There were some great jokes, along with the cameo of Tom Hanks. This was great!

RATING : 9/10

[SKETCH] The Fly Girls

Jerry Minor shows up again...which is good I guess because I think he's pretty funny. Still, though, this sketch was kind of pointless. We're not getting to the end of the show already, are we?

RATING : 4.5/10

[COMMERCIAL] Valentine Soundtrack : Music from the Motion Picture

I didn't see the point in this at first, until I realized how ridiculous the band names were getting. I don't know what did it, but I found this commercial pretty damn funny.

RATING : 8/10

[MUSIC] Jennifer Lopez

She performed her new single, which I think isn't as good as her other singles from her first album. I still watched though...what else is on at this hour of the night?

[SKETCH] Good Morning Bronx

Jesus, they might as well let Molly Shannon stand there and do bad standup. This was bad!

RATING : 2/10

[SHORT] The Baby and the German Intellectual

Umm....riiiiight. I didn't catch the point of this.

RATING : 1/10

[SKETCH] Jeannie Darcy

Oh Jesus, it looks like I've spoken too soon! Not even the person dying made this funny. Only one word can describe this, and that word is HELL.

RATING : 0.5/10

[COMMERCIAL] Wade Blasingame ESQ. : Canine Attorney

[SKETCH] Lara Thornberry sings to the United States WWII troops

This looked lame, until I listened to the words of the songs. Haha very funny, and Chris Parnell was funny as the moron in the crowd. This was very surprising funny for the end of the show. Maybe the whole show wasn't ALL bad...

RATING : 6.5/10

Sketch of the night : Weekend Update

Quote of the night : Tina Fey on Weekend Update "It was announced Monday that Kelly Ripa will be Kathie Lee Gifford's permanent replacement on Regis Philbin's morning talk show. Producers say the two women are very different. Kelly Ripa is a longtime soap opera actress, and Kathie Lee is a hateful bitch."

    OVERALL EPISODE RATING : 55/100

Yeah, not all that great I guess. It was great to see Jerry Minor get some airtime, I think he's gonna be really funny once he gets a recurring character that goes with him. I also really liked how in between commercials you saw a second of studio 8H while the cast was getting prepared for the next sketch. I hope they continue to do this. Other than that, I found this episode quite disappointing. Hopefully the XFL won't preempt Saturday Night Live anymore, because 45 minutes late is quite ridiculous.
