My dear friend, Sue also known as Willow created something wonderful
for me using a few of my photos.
Click on this link! when
you are there, point your mouse to each of the "floating" filenames and
the "slide" of that ship appears. The ships are the Asgard, the Eagle,
the Pride of Baltimore Saluting with a canon fire, and a group of ships
including the Dar Mlodzeizy and Kaiwo Maru.
Well Done and Many Thanks, Sue!!!

Once in port, the harbourfront was thronged with people and ships,
Masts as far as you could see. The following pictures were taken
by me along the waterfront.
Crowds along the Halifax Waterfront |

Right! Sailors! The Esmerelda from Chile |

Then, Monday, July 24 the ships left, and again, thousands found
a spot along the Halifax and Dartmouth Waterfronts to watch the Parade
of Sail. I found a hidey hole at the top of
an emergency staircase out of a pedway between two towers down on the waterfront.
I only had to share it with about a half dozen people. It was PERFECT
for picture taking! Some of the ships are heading on the last leg of the
race to Amsterdam and others are continuing to tour around various ports.

Here's a link to my Cousin
Stuart's Tall Ships pictures. From a different angle on the other side
of the harbour, low on graphic overhead and very nice indeed! :)
Here are some links from Tall Ships 2000 sites around the world.
Amsterdam, The Netherlands This is a very good site!
